Sevilla's Plaza de España stretches across 50,000 square metres, built for the 1929 Ibero-American Exposition and still one of the most recognisable landmarks in southern Spain. The city sits along the Guadalquivir River, the only major navigable river in the country, giving it a unique character shaped by centuries of trade and culture. Wander through the Real Alcázar, a UNESCO-listed palace complex blending Mudéjar, Gothic and Renaissance styles, or step inside the Catedral de Santa María de la Sede, the largest Gothic cathedral in the world. Across the river, the neighbourhood of Triana is famous for its ceramic workshops and lively tapas bars. For a quieter moment, the Parque de María Luisa offers shaded paths and fountains just south of the city centre. Sevilla also makes a brilliant base for exploring Andalucía by road. Córdoba is roughly 140 km to the northeast, while the coastal town of Cádiz lies about 125 km to the south, both easy drives in a campervan. The terrain around Sevilla is mostly flat, which makes navigating a motorhome straightforward, with well-maintained roads connecting the city to the wider region. Through Yescapa, you can hire a campervan directly from local owners in and around Sevilla, often picking up your vehicle in the city itself. It is a practical, peer-to-peer way to start your Andalucían adventure right from the heart of the south.
Sevilla is wonderful to visit from March to June, when orange trees blossom across the city and temperatures are ideal for exploring on foot and by road. The Feria de Abril, usually held two weeks after Easter, fills the city with flamenco, horses and colourful casetas. In autumn, the Bienal de Flamenco (held in even-numbered years, September to October) draws enthusiasts from around the world. Summer is warm and popular, so booking your campervan early through Yescapa gives you access to competitive peer-to-peer prices and a wider choice of vehicles. Campsites near Sevilla tend to be quieter in spring and autumn, making those months especially comfortable for motorhome travellers.
Seville is the perfect base for exploring the region by motorhome or campervan. Here are our 6 must-see getaways
Head 143 km northeast from Seville to Córdoba, where the Mezquita-Catedral and the Jewish Quarter await. Stop in Écija along the way to admire its Baroque churches. Campervan-friendly parking is available near the old town — allow two to three days for this short trip.
Just 85 km south of Seville, Jerez de la Frontera is famous for its sherry bodegas and the Royal Andalusian School of Equestrian Art. Visit Bodega Tío Pepe and the Alcázar de Jerez. Campsites nearby offer solid facilities — one to two days is enough for this motorhome day trip.
Cádiz sits 125 km southwest of Seville and is considered one of Europe's oldest cities. Wander through the Barrio del Pópulo and visit the Catedral de Cádiz with its golden dome. Playa de la Caleta and Playa de la Victoria are perfect for a seaside break. Coastal campsites offer pitches with sea views — three to four days is ideal.
Granada lies around 250 km east of Seville. The Alhambra, with its Nasrid Palaces and Generalife gardens, is a must-see. Explore the Albaicín quarter with its narrow lanes and the Mirador de San Nicolás. Along the way, stop in Loja for a break. Parking areas sit on the city outskirts — plan four to six days for this campervan journey.
Madrid is roughly 460 km north of Seville and offers a completely different side of Spain. Visit the Museo del Prado and Retiro Park. Along the route, stop in Mérida for its Roman theatre and in Toledo for its old town perched above the Tagus. The A-4 motorway is well maintained and motorhome-friendly. Allow five to seven days for this extended road trip.
Around 200 km southeast of Seville, the coastal city of Málaga blends culture with beach life. Visit the Museo Picasso Málaga and the Alcazaba fortress. On the way, stop at Antequera to explore its Dolmens archaeological site. The Costa del Sol offers plenty of pitches — allow three to five days for this campervan tour.

Around Seville you will find campsites suited to both campervans and motorhomes. Most are located just outside the city centre and offer electrical hook-ups, sanitary facilities and shaded pitches. Heading towards the coast, you can also find sites with swimming pools and beach access. This makes Seville a great base for day trips while enjoying a peaceful overnight stay.
Seville has several car parks and parking areas suitable for larger vehicles. Note that the city centre has a low-emission zone and narrow streets can make driving a large vehicle tricky. It is best to use car parks on the outskirts and take public transport into the centre. Overnight parking in your vehicle on public roads in Seville is not permitted — use designated motorhome areas or campsites instead.
A really incredible experience with this van! We drove for 5 days down the coast and everything was perfect. Really handy cooking facilities, comfy bed and João explained everything to us perfectly, even giving us recommendations! He was also flexible with timings on returning the van. Cannot reccomend enough!
