Granada's Alhambra palace welcomed over 2.7 million visitors in 2023, making it Spain's most visited monument and a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1984. Nestled at the foot of the Sierra Nevada mountains, this Andalusian city offers a remarkable blend of Moorish and Renaissance architecture. Wander through the narrow streets of the Albaicín quarter, where whitewashed houses and jasmine-scented courtyards open onto panoramic views of the Alhambra. The Cathedral of Granada, completed in 1704, stands as one of Spain's finest Renaissance churches, while the nearby Capilla Real houses the tombs of Ferdinand and Isabella. For a change of pace, the Science Park of Granada (Parque de las Ciencias) provides interactive exhibits perfect for families. The coast at Salobreña is just 72 km south, offering Mediterranean beaches, and the ski resort of Pradollano in the Sierra Nevada sits only 33 km southeast. Granada's compact old town is best explored on foot, but the surrounding region — with its mountain passes and coastal roads — is ideal for a campervan adventure. Hiring a motorhome through Yescapa connects you with local owners who know the best routes through the Alpujarras valleys and along the Costa Tropical. With a campervan, you can wake up to mountain views one morning and hear the sea the next, all at your own pace.
Granada welcomes visitors warmly throughout the year. Spring is especially rewarding, when the Cruces de Mayo festival fills the city with flower-covered crosses each May. Autumn brings the Granada International Jazz Festival in November, a great excuse to explore the city's cultural scene. Summer is perfect for combining Granada's sights with trips to the Sierra Nevada or the nearby coast. Winter offers a unique chance to ski at Pradollano and visit the Alhambra without the queues. Booking a campervan through Yescapa gives you access to competitive peer-to-peer prices year-round, and planning ahead for spring and summer helps you secure the best choice of vehicles from local owners in Granada.

Parking a larger vehicle in Granada requires a bit of planning, as the old town has narrow streets and restricted access zones. The city centre is largely a low-emission zone, so it is best to park on the outskirts and use public transport or walk in. Overnight parking in a motorhome or campervan is generally permitted in designated areas, but always check local signage for time limits and height restrictions. Several dedicated facilities around the city make it straightforward to find a safe spot.
Nice car, friendly and helpful people
The process was simple and informative. Once we had decided from the many great options, we received a quick response. Our host was easily reachable and answered our questions to ensure the best experience on our trip. We also felt secure knowing insurance was included. We made a few adjustments to our trip, and we were easily accommodated by the owner. Our trip was beautiful, and well-equipped with everything we needed on the go. It was a lovely experience to explore and sleep where we wanted to ensure we were ready for our adventure the next day.
Nelson is 5*, great guy and great renting experience.
incredibly friendly and took the time to explain how everything worked, making the whole experience easy and enjoyable from the start. The camper van was a pleasure to drive and came fully equipped with everything we could possibly need. He was also available 24/7 to help with any questions and recommended some amazing routes around the island. As first-time camper van travellers, we couldn’t have asked for a better experience, and we would absolutely do it again. It was truly an unforgettable adventure.
The camper was exactly as expected, it was clean and everything worked as it should. It drove well and was surprisingly economical considering its size. The booking process was easy but collection gave a few challenges. The renters location is wrong in the listing as there are two Sauzets in south west France. Coupled with the renter mistakenly not delivering the camper to the correct address meant we were a day late starting our trip. A refund for the missing day was immediately agreed. In all an easy experience once the pickup location was cleared up.
Nuestra experience no pudo ir mejor. Nico es un host excelente y muy atento a cualquier pregunta que teniamos. La furgoneta ademas iba muy bien y pudimos darle la vuelta complete a la isla sin problemas. Totalmente recomendado!
