What you need to know about roads and motorways in Tenerife
Tenerife has two main motorways: the TF-1 running along the south coast and the TF-5 along the north. Both are toll-free, well-maintained, and clearly signposted. The general speed limit on these motorways is 120 km/h for cars, but motorhomes over 3,500 kg must keep to 90 km/h. We had an amazing experience renting Francisco’s motorhome. We really enjoyed the entire trip — the motorhome was very comfortable, well equipped, and perfect for our journey. Having air conditioning was also a huge bonus, especially during the hot days, and it’s definitely not something you can take for granted with motorhomes of this type. Francisco and his team were always available whenever we had a question or needed help, and communication was excellent throughout the entire rental.
