The campervan is the ultimate all-rounder. Effortlessly practical and built for freedom, it’s just as at home navigating tight city streets as it is exploring the heart of the countryside.
Ibiza stretches across 572 square kilometres, making it the third-largest of the Balearic Islands, yet its 210 kilometres of coastline pack in over 80 distinct beaches — from the calm turquoise shallows of Cala Comte to the pine-fringed sands of Cala Salada. The UNESCO World Heritage site of Dalt Vila, the fortified old town of Ibiza Town, rises above the harbour with Renaissance-era walls dating back to the 16th century. Beyond the coast, the island's interior reveals a quieter side: whitewashed villages like Santa Gertrudis and Sant Joan de Labritja sit among almond groves and red-earth farmland. The drive from Ibiza Town to Portinatx in the north covers roughly 25 kilometres, while the route from Sant Antoni de Portmany to Santa Eulària des Riu spans about 20 kilometres — both manageable in well under an hour. Narrow rural roads wind through terraced hillsides, and the island's compact size means you can explore a different corner each day without long transfers. Travelling by campervan gives you the flexibility to chase sunsets at Sa Talaia, the island's highest point at 475 metres, or wake up near a quiet cove. With Yescapa, you can hire a motorhome or campervan directly from local owners across the island, choosing from a range of vehicles that suit your group size and travel style. It is a practical, personal way to experience Ibiza at your own pace.
May and June are ideal months to hire a campervan in Ibiza, when temperatures sit comfortably around 25°C and the island's beaches are pleasantly uncrowded. The Ibiza Medieval Festival in May transforms Dalt Vila into a lively open-air market with music and period costumes. Summer from July to September is the most popular season — booking early on Yescapa often means better choice and competitive peer-to-peer pricing. Autumn brings the Ibiza Light Festival in October, with art installations across the island, plus warm seas still perfect for swimming. Even winter has its appeal: mild days around 15°C suit cycling and hiking through the island's interior trails.
To help you plan your trip, we have selected six unmissable road trips, suitable for all travelers.
This 45 km loop from Sant Antoni de Portmany follows Ibiza's western shoreline past Cala Comte and Cala Bassa, two of the island's most photogenic bays. Stop at the clifftop sunset viewpoint of Cap Blanc before heading inland through Sant Josep de sa Talaia. Ideal for a campervan — short distances and plenty of spots to pause.
A 35 km route starting in Santa Eulària des Riu, visiting the hilltop church of Puig de Missa and the ethnographic museum at Can Ros. Continue to the riverside walk along the only river in the Balearic Islands, then loop through the village of Sant Carles de Peralta. Campervan-friendly roads with easy parking at each stop.
This 70 km route heads north from Ibiza Town through Sant Joan de Labritja to the secluded beach of Benirràs, famous for its Sunday drum circles. Visit the cave of Cova de Can Marçà near Portinatx and enjoy the rugged coastline. A motorhome handles the main roads well, though some beach access lanes are narrow.
An 80 km circuit tracing Ibiza's entire coastline from Ibiza Town west to Sant Antoni, north to Portinatx, east to Santa Eulària des Riu, and back south. You will pass Es Vedrà, the iconic rocky islet off the southwest coast, and the salt flats of Ses Salines Natural Park. Suits both campervans and motorhomes on well-maintained roads.
A 55 km route through Ibiza's interior, connecting the villages of Santa Gertrudis, Sant Mateu d'Albarca, and Sant Miquel de Balansat. Wander through almond orchards, visit the fortified church of Sant Miquel, and climb Sa Talaia for panoramic views. The slower pace suits travellers who want to linger — perfect for a week-long campervan trip.
A 100 km route that pairs Ibiza's highlights with a ferry crossing to Formentera from Ibiza Town harbour. Spend days exploring Formentera's Platja de Ses Illetes and the La Mola lighthouse before returning to Ibiza for the markets of Las Dalias in Sant Carles. Note: vehicles stay on Ibiza while you explore Formentera on foot or by bicycle.

Ibiza offers a small but well-equipped selection of campsites spread across the island, from coastal spots near Sant Antoni to quieter inland settings close to Santa Eulària. Facilities typically include electrical hook-ups, hot showers, toilets, and waste disposal points suitable for both campervans and motorhomes. Several sites sit within walking distance of beaches, while others provide shaded pitches under pine trees — a welcome feature during the warmer months. Booking ahead in summer is recommended, as Ibiza's campsites are popular with touring travellers.
Ibiza has no motorways or toll roads. The main routes are the E-10 connecting Ibiza Town to Sant Antoni de Portmany and the E-20 running from Ibiza Town to Santa Eulària des Riu. Speed limits on these primary roads are typically 90 km/h for standard vehicles, but motorhomes over 3,500 kg must keep to 80 km/h. Secondary roads across the island are narrower, often single-lane in rural areas, with a 50 km/h limit in built-up zones. Parking in Ibiza Town and Sant Antoni can be tight for larger vehicles, so arriving early is wise. Rest areas are limited, but the short distances between towns mean fuel and facilities are never far away.
We can’t recommend this camper enough! The camper was spotless, well-equipped, and had everything we needed for a great trip. What really made the experience special, though, were the people behind it. They were friendly, helpful, and always available if we had any questions. Their genuine care and attention made everything so easy from start to finish. We had an amazing experience and wouldn’t hesitate to book with them again. Thank you for everything! 😊🚐✨
Lili was superb! Picked us from the airport and took us to the campervan. Very friendly and always providing great advice and support. The vehicle was spotless, well maintained and easy to use. Had all the features needed for a long and comfortable van trip.
