Yellowstone National Park offers a range of campgrounds set among forests, rivers, and lakeshores, catering to both campervans and motorhomes. Most sites provide flush toilets, potable water, and fire rings, while select locations include full hook-ups for larger vehicles. Campgrounds are spread across Yellowstone's Grand Loop, so you can plan overnight stops near geysers, canyons, or wildlife-rich valleys without long detours.
Yellowstone National Park has no toll roads, and entry is covered by the national park pass (currently $35 per vehicle for seven days). The Grand Loop Road forms the main 230 km route through the park, with speed limits set at 45 mph (72 km/h) for all vehicles, dropping to 25 mph in developed areas. Motorhomes and campervans should note that some roads, particularly the Dunraven Pass section between Canyon and Tower, include steep grades and tight bends. Vehicles over 30 feet may find certain pull-offs and car parks challenging. Rest areas and fuel stations are available at major junctions including Canyon Village, Old Faithful, and Fishing Bridge.
