Dublin's Ha'penny Bridge has welcomed pedestrians across the River Liffey since 1816, making it one of the oldest cast-iron bridges in Ireland. The capital city blends centuries of literary heritage with a lively cultural scene, from the Book of Kells at Trinity College Dublin to the vast collections inside the National Museum of Ireland on Kildare Street. A walk through St Stephen's Green leads you into Georgian streetscapes, while the Guinness Storehouse at St James's Gate offers panoramic rooftop views across the city. Heading south, the Wicklow Mountains National Park sits just 35 km away, with winding roads through Glendalough's monastic valley. To the north, the historic town of Drogheda is roughly 48 km up the M1, opening the door to the Boyne Valley and Newgrange. Dublin's coastal stretch along Dublin Bay is well suited to campervan travel, with relatively flat roads and easy access to seaside villages like Howth and Dún Laoghaire. Motorhome drivers will find the M50 ring road a practical way to navigate around the city without entering the busy centre. Through Yescapa, you can hire directly from local owners across Dublin, which means flexible pick-up points and a more personal start to your trip. Peer-to-peer sharing also gives you access to a wider range of vehicles, from compact campervans to fully equipped family setups, often at better value than traditional rental depots.
Dublin is a rewarding destination throughout the year. June to September brings long daylight hours, ideal for exploring the coast by campervan. The city comes alive during Bloomsday on 16 June, celebrating James Joyce with readings and re-enactments across the city. In late September, Dublin Fringe Festival fills theatres and unusual venues with performances. Booking your motorhome through Yescapa during spring or early autumn often means more availability from local owners and competitive peer-to-peer pricing. Summer is the most popular season, so reserving a few weeks ahead is a smart move. Dublin's mild climate means even winter trips are comfortable for touring.

On-street parking in the city centre is usually limited to three hours and metered. Overnight parking in your vehicle on public roads is not permitted. Use designated sites or campsites on the outskirts instead. Several park-and-ride facilities on the edge of the city offer spacious bays and good public transport links into the centre.
A really incredible experience with this van! We drove for 5 days down the coast and everything was perfect. Really handy cooking facilities, comfy bed and João explained everything to us perfectly, even giving us recommendations! He was also flexible with timings on returning the van. Cannot reccomend enough!
