Finland offers a wide network of campsites spread from the southern coast to the Arctic north, many set beside lakes or within national park areas. Most sites provide full hook-ups for motorhomes and spacious pitches for campervans, along with saunas — a Finnish essential. Facilities typically include heated sanitary blocks, waste disposal stations, and laundry rooms. Many campsites in Finland stay open from May to September, with a handful in Lapland operating year-round for winter travellers.
Finland has no toll roads, so you can travel the entire country without paying any road fees. The speed limit on motorways is typically 120 km/h for cars, but motorhomes over 3,500 kg are limited to 80 km/h on all roads. Main highways such as the E75 running north from Helsinki to Lapland are well surfaced and clearly signposted in Finnish and Swedish. Rest areas with waste disposal points appear regularly along major routes. In northern Finland, watch for reindeer on the road, especially from autumn onwards. Winter tyres are compulsory from November to March, so check your vehicle's equipment if travelling in shoulder season.

They were very attentive and considerate during the handover, as well as easy to communicate with throughout their trip. They treated my motorhome with care and respect and certainly did their best to return it in the condition in which they received it.
