New Zealand offers an excellent network of campsites for both campervans and motorhomes, ranging from Department of Conservation (DOC) sites in remote bush and coastal settings to fully equipped holiday parks in towns and cities. Most holiday parks provide powered sites, hot showers, kitchen facilities, laundry, and dump stations. DOC campsites tend to be more basic but are set in spectacular natural locations. Sites are spread right across both islands, from subtropical Northland to the alpine south.
New Zealand has no toll motorways for general traffic, with only a few short toll roads such as the Tauranga Eastern Link and the Northern Gateway near Auckland, payable online within five days. The open road speed limit is 100 km/h, which applies to motorhomes and campervans under 3,500 kg. Heavier vehicles are limited to 90 km/h. Many routes are single-carriageway roads, particularly on the South Island, so allow extra time for winding mountain passes like Arthur's Pass and the Haast Pass. Rest areas with dump stations are well signposted along major highways.

Hugo was verry friendly en kind during the whole vacation ( reachable, helpful,..). He gave us all the info wee needed en beyond. The Van is really nice and felt like home after 3 weeks.
Our trip was wonderful from start to finish. The owners were extremely kind, helpful, and responsive. They explained everything clearly before departure, replied quickly to our questions, and were always available whenever we needed assistance. We were also provided with a detailed guidebook, which was very useful throughout the trip. Although it was my first time driving a camper van, I found it surprisingly easy and comfortable to drive. The van was very clean and well equipped. Everything we needed was already inside, including two tables, chairs, a frying pan, a cooking pot, and many other useful essentials. It was clear that a lot of thought had gone into making the van practical and comfortable for travelers. Overall, we had an excellent experience and would highly recommend both the camper van and its owners. Thank you for helping make our holiday so enjoyable! :)
