From sleek A-class models to versatile coachbuilts and low-profiles, there’s a motorhome for every adventure—whether you need a compact getaway for two or a spacious multi-berth for the whole family.
The campervan is the ultimate all-rounder. Effortlessly practical and built for freedom, it’s just as at home navigating tight city streets as it is exploring the heart of the countryside.
The Área Metropolitana de Lisboa stretches across 18 municipalities on both banks of the Tagus estuary, home to roughly 2.8 million people and one of Europe's longest bridges — the Vasco da Gama Bridge at 12.3 kilometres. From the limestone cliffs of Cabo da Roca, the westernmost point of mainland Europe, to the golden sands of Costa da Caparica, the region offers a remarkable variety of landscapes within short driving distances. Sintra's Palácio Nacional da Pena sits just 30 kilometres from central Lisbon, while the Arrábida Natural Park is around 40 kilometres south across the Tagus. The Cristo Rei monument on the southern bank provides sweeping views over the capital, and the Oceanário de Lisboa in Parque das Nações ranks among the world's finest aquariums. Narrow streets in historic quarters like Alfama reward those who park up and explore on foot, while wide riverside promenades in Cascais and Sesimbra are ideal for evening strolls. Travelling by campervan lets you combine city culture with coastal escapes at your own pace, and a motorhome gives families the space to settle comfortably at each stop. With Yescapa, you can hire directly from local owners across the metropolitan area, choosing from a wide range of vehicles that suit your group size and travel style. This peer-to-peer approach means competitive prices and personal tips from people who know the region best.
The Área Metropolitana de Lisboa enjoys a mild Atlantic climate that makes it welcoming throughout the year. From May to October, long sunny days are perfect for exploring the coastline between Cascais and Sesimbra by campervan. June brings the Festas de Lisboa, with lively street celebrations honouring Santo António across the capital's neighbourhoods. In September, the Sintra Festival of classical music offers a more relaxed cultural experience. Spring and autumn are excellent for visiting Arrábida and Sintra without the busiest summer crowds, and Yescapa's peer-to-peer model often means more flexible pricing during these months. We recommend booking early for July and August — the most popular season for hiring a motorhome in the region.

The Área Metropolitana de Lisboa offers campsites ranging from the Atlantic coast to the green hinterland. Along the west coast you will find sites with direct beach access, while quieter parks sit near the Parque Natural da Arrábida in the south. Most campsites provide pitches for motorhomes and campervans with electric hook-ups, fresh water and waste disposal points. Shower blocks and laundry facilities are standard across the region.
Motorways in the Área Metropolitana de Lisboa use an electronic toll system. The A1, A2 and A5 are the main routes connecting the region, and tolls can be paid via Via Verde transponders or at manual booths. Motorhomes and campervans over 3.5 tonnes fall into a higher toll category, so check your vehicle class before setting off. Speed limits for vehicles under 3.5 tonnes are 120 km/h on motorways, while heavier motorhomes are limited to 100 km/h. The 25 de Abril Bridge charges tolls only southbound, and the Vasco da Gama Bridge charges in both directions. Rest areas with fuel, toilets and parking are well distributed along the A1 and A2 corridors.
Everything was great! Uncomplicated rental and Adrien is very friendly and helpful.
We rented the campervan for 5 days and had an incredible experience around Madeira. The campervan is very well equiped and we could reach all the places of the island without difficulty! Moreover, Claudio was super nice and helpful, he gave us the best tips and advice to fully enjoy the Madera experience. We advice all the adventurers to take this campervan to get to know this amazing Island!
Claudio was nice, helpful and available, thank you very much to him. The van is as described on the pictures and post, it’s very functional we had an amazing time in the Dolomites. I recommend 100% :)
Persone molto corrette, responsabili e piacevoli: li raccomando vivamente! Sarà un piacere rivedervi il prossimo anno. A presto! 🚐☀️
Todo perfecto.
Elvira was super responsive, friendly and helpfull! We had a great experience going around Mallorca with the bus. The bus had everything what we need. Just be aware the bed length is 160cm as listed. But Elvira also has another bus with longer beds if wanted! Highly recommended.
