The Atlanta area offers a solid range of campsites suited to both campervans and motorhomes. Most are located in the surrounding countryside and state parks rather than in the city centre, giving you easy access to nature while staying close to urban attractions. Expect facilities such as electric hook-ups, water connections, shower blocks and dump stations at the larger parks, with many also providing Wi-Fi and picnic shelters.
Parking a larger vehicle in Atlanta requires a bit of planning. Many downtown lots have height restrictions, so check clearance before entering. Overnight street parking for motorhomes and campervans is generally not permitted in residential areas. For day visits, several large surface lots near major attractions can accommodate taller vehicles — always confirm dimensions in advance. Outside the city centre, park-and-ride facilities along MARTA rail lines offer a practical alternative.

We had an amazing experience with both the campervan and its owner, Alvaro! Alvaro is a super friendly, cheerful, and helpful young guy. He personally picked us up from the airport and gave us some fantastic recommendations for beautiful places to visit in Mallorca, including hidden gems that only a local would know about. He also suggested some great local restaurants where we could try traditional Mallorcan specialties. After we returned the campervan, he was kind enough to drop us off at a location of our choice. Communication with him throughout the entire trip was excellent — easy, friendly, and really helpful. The campervan itself is very cozy, comfortable, and well-equipped. It has everything you need for a wonderful getaway for two people. Fuel consumption is around 8–10 L/100 km, which is perfectly reasonable for this type of vehicle. We were extremely happy with the whole experience and would definitely rent from Alvaro again! Thank you so much for everything, Alvaro! 😊🚐☀️
