Birmingham's Bullring has been a market site for over 800 years, making it one of the oldest trading areas in England. Today, the city blends industrial heritage with a thriving cultural scene that rewards exploration on four wheels. The Jewellery Quarter, responsible for around 40% of all British jewellery production, sits just north of the centre and offers independent workshops and galleries. Head to the Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery for one of the finest Pre-Raphaelite collections in the world, or stroll along the Birmingham Canal Navigations — the city actually has more kilometres of canal than Venice. Families will enjoy Thinktank Birmingham Science Museum, while foodies can browse the stalls at Birmingham Smithfield Market. Warwick Castle lies just 35 km to the south, and the Peak District National Park begins roughly 80 km to the north, giving you easy access to rolling countryside and scenic driving routes. The road network around Birmingham is well suited to larger vehicles, with wide dual carriageways and clearly signed ring roads. Hiring a campervan or motorhome through Yescapa connects you with local owners across the West Midlands, so you can pick up your vehicle close to where you need it. Birmingham sits at the heart of England, so campsites in the surrounding countryside are easy to reach within a short drive. You will find a mix of rural retreats and well-equipped touring parks, many offering electric hook-ups, modern shower blocks, and hardstanding pitches suitable for both campervans and motorhomes. Several sites sit along canal routes or near national parks, giving you a peaceful base while staying close to the city.
Birmingham has several car parks and designated areas that can accommodate larger vehicles. Overnight parking in a motorhome or campervan on public streets is generally permitted where no restrictions apply, but always check local signage. The city centre has height-restricted multi-storeys, so plan ahead and use open-air car parks or park-and-ride facilities on the outskirts for taller vehicles. Arriving early on weekdays helps secure a suitable space.
Alba was friendly, communicative, and respectful. Her and her partner took excellent care of the camper and returned it in great condition. Would be very happy to rent to them again. Highly recommended!
Feeling right at home Traveling across Portugal with Koda was a perfect, unique, and wonderful experience ☺️ Carina and Rafaela met us right at the airport and explained everything about the van—covering every detail clearly and effectively. We had never taken an off-the-cuff trip like this before; without any set plans, we drove all the way to Sagres, navigating easily through narrow roads, campsites, and stunning beaches 😍 Its compact size makes it comfortable to drive almost immediately, allowing for effortless maneuvering even on narrow roads, whether driving uphill or on light off-road terrain. The van is fully equipped: it has kitchenware, a sink, a convenient handheld shower, and even a solar shower, plus two camping chairs and an easy-to-assemble table. The bed is incredibly comfortable, and when not in use, it converts into a small bench. It was easy and delightful to feel right at home during this vacation; we can’t wait to return to Portugal to explore the north with Koda 🧡
Absolute pleasure to host this group of three! Everything went completely smoothly from pickup to return. They treated the camper with great respect, followed all guidelines, and kept in touch throughout the trip. Reliable, responsible, and friendly—10/10 renters, highly recommended to any owner on Yescapa!
Carlos was available and attentive throughout the entire process. We received a nearly new vehicle—clean, tidy, and fully equipped with everything needed for a camping trip for three people.
