Overnight stays in vehicles are generally not permitted on public car parks — use designated motorhome stops or nearby campsites instead. Watch for height restrictions in multi-storey car parks, which are often too low for campervans.

Don't let the old age of the campervan fool you it will still get you where you need to go and drive up the steep hills albeit with a small learning curve. The van has everything that you need and you can sleep in it comfortably. It does show a bit of it's age but that's part of the charm. Maria and Jake are great hosts who will take the time to show you how the vehicle works and purrs. They will also give you an extensive lists of sleeping spots, hikes and things to do in Sao Jorge which is greatly appreciated. If you want to sleep next to the ocean or on the hills of Sao Jorge, I recommend this van!
