Ontario's provincial parks offer some of Canada's best-equipped campsites, with options ranging from lakeside pitches in the south to forested sites in the boreal north. Most campgrounds provide electrical hook-ups, drinking water, hot showers, and dump stations suitable for both campervans and motorhomes. Booking through Ontario Parks is straightforward, and many sites are open from mid-May to mid-October, giving you a generous window to explore the province.
Ontario's Highway 400 series forms the backbone of the province's motorway network, and most routes are toll-free. The main exception is Highway 407 near Toronto, an electronic toll road where fees are charged by transponder or licence plate — worth avoiding in a larger motorhome to save costs. Speed limits on major highways are generally 100 km/h for standard vehicles, though drivers of motorhomes over 4,500 kg should keep to 90 km/h on certain stretches. Rest areas called ONroute stations appear regularly along Highways 400 and 401, offering fuel, food, and spacious parking suitable for campervans and motorhomes.

We visited Mallorca for four days, and it was the best decision to discover the island with this camper van. The van was really well equipped and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay at beautiful spots — including a portable chemical toilet, a water tank with a camping shower to wash off the sand after the beach, a camping stove, and plastic cutlery. Communication with Álvaro was great throughout our stay. He really went the extra mile to make sure we had a nice trip and even provided us with extra towels and goggles for the beach. The only thing to keep in mind is that it’s an older car. This gave the trip exactly the charm we were looking for, but the odometer and fuel gauge did have some issues from time to time. Thank you so much, Álvaro! Whenever we come back to Palma, we will definitely rent your van again. 😊
