Geneva's Jet d'Eau fountain shoots water 140 metres into the air above Lake Geneva, making it one of the tallest fountains in the world and a landmark visible from across the city. Sitting at the southwestern tip of Lake Geneva, this cosmopolitan Swiss city blends international diplomacy with rich cultural heritage. The Palais des Nations, European headquarters of the United Nations, offers guided tours through its grand assembly halls. Stroll through the Old Town to discover the Cathédrale Saint-Pierre, where John Calvin once preached, and climb its towers for sweeping views over the rooftops and lake. The Musée d'Art et d'Histoire houses over 650,000 works spanning archaeology, fine arts and applied arts. Along the lakeshore, the Bains des Pâquis is a beloved public bathing spot where locals gather year-round. Geneva also makes a superb base for exploring the wider region by road. Chamonix-Mont-Blanc lies just 83 km to the southeast, while Lausanne is only 62 km along the northern lakeshore — both easy drives in a campervan. The surrounding landscape of alpine foothills and vineyard-covered slopes offers plenty of scenic routes suited to motorhome travel, with well-maintained roads and regular service areas. Through Yescapa, you can hire a campervan directly from a local owner in Geneva, which means flexible pick-up arrangements and personal tips on the best routes and overnight spots in the region.
Geneva welcomes visitors throughout the year. The Fêtes de Genève in August fills the lakefront with concerts, fairground rides and spectacular fireworks, making it a brilliant time to explore by campervan. From late November, the Marché de Noël brings festive stalls to the Old Town. Spring and early autumn are ideal for quieter drives around the lake and into the Alps. Booking through Yescapa gives you access to peer-to-peer pricing, often more competitive than traditional hire, especially outside peak summer months. Reserve early for July and August to secure the best choice of vehicles in Geneva.

Geneva itself has a handful of campsites right on the lakeshore, while the surrounding countryside offers even more options among vineyards and alpine foothills. Most sites provide full hook-ups, modern shower and toilet blocks, and dedicated pitches for both campervans and motorhomes. Whether you prefer a lakeside spot near the city or a quieter rural retreat, the Geneva region has you covered.
Parking a larger vehicle in Geneva requires a bit of planning. The city centre has height and length restrictions on many underground car parks, so Park and Ride (P+R) facilities on the outskirts are your best option. These offer affordable rates and direct public transport links into town. Overnight parking in a motorhome or campervan on public roads is generally not permitted within the city — always check local signage and head to a designated campsite for overnight stays.
Our trip was absolutely perfect! Living in a van turned out to be exactly what I had imagined. Diego was wonderful with us, sharing the best tips to make our trip more comfortable and special. The van is incredible, comfortable, cosy and just like in the picture. I can not recommend it more 🌞
We hebben genoten van onze vakantie met de camper. Een gloednieuwe camper met de nodige luxe. Vlot contact met Rócio, duidelijke afspraken. Handige video filmpjes met info over de camper. We komen zeker terug.

Overall, a great experience! The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the van itself was really nice and comfortable. The pickup process was a little busy, with quite a queue, and the van wasn’t perfectly clean when we picked it up. However, these were minor points and didn’t take away from the overall experience. Everything else was smooth, easy, and enjoyable. I would definitely recommend it!
