Castilla-La Mancha stretches across 79,463 square kilometres of Spain's central plateau, making it the country's third-largest autonomous community and the land that inspired Cervantes to write Don Quixote. From the medieval walled city of Toledo — a UNESCO World Heritage Site just 70 km south of Madrid — to the dramatic gorges of the Serranía de Cuenca, roughly 300 km to the east, this region rewards those who travel at their own pace. The windmills of Consuegra stand on a ridge overlooking the plains, while the Tablas de Daimiel National Park protects one of Europe's last remaining floodplain wetlands. Further south, the Lagunas de Ruidera chain of fifteen interconnected lakes runs through a natural park that feels wonderfully remote. Castilla-La Mancha's wide, open roads and gentle terrain make it ideal for campervan and motorhome travel, with well-maintained routes connecting historic towns like Almagro, Sigüenza, and Alcalá del Júcar. The region's low population density means quieter roads and easy parking, even in peak season. Through Yescapa's peer-to-peer platform, you can hire a campervan directly from local owners across Castilla-La Mancha, choosing from a range of vehicles to suit your group and your route. Whether you want a compact van for a weekend exploring La Mancha's wine country or a fully equipped motorhome for a fortnight-long tour, the freedom to collect your vehicle locally makes every trip more personal.
Castilla-La Mancha enjoys over 300 days of sunshine a year, making it a reliable destination across multiple seasons. Spring is especially rewarding — April and May bring wildflowers to the plains, and the Corpus Christi celebrations in Toledo (late May or June) fill the streets with processions and floral displays. Autumn is equally appealing, with the grape harvest in full swing and the Fiesta de la Vendimia in Valdepeñas each September. Summer is the most popular period for campervan travel, so booking early on Yescapa gives you the widest choice of vehicles and often better peer-to-peer rates. Winter stays mild in the southern plains, perfect for exploring Castilla-La Mancha's historic towns without the crowds.

Everything amazing )
Simone and his partner were very nice and friendly, eager to get to know everything about the motorhome. They were very attentive and considerate during the handover, as well as easy to communicate with throughout their trip. They treated my motorhome with care and respect and certainly did their best to return it in the condition in which they received it. It was a pleasure having them as my guests, and I highly recommend them to other owners.
It was a perfect RV for our trip to see the solar eclipse. And Conrado is a very pleasant man to communicate with. I highly recommend him and his car 👍
Everything was perfect, the communication with the owner was very smooth and we really appreciated the friendly approach and the help that he offered to us. Would definitely recommend! ☺️
