Abruzzo offers a wide range of campsites spread from the Adriatic coast to the mountain parks inland. Coastal sites near Roseto degli Abruzzi and Fossacesia Marina typically provide full hook-ups, modern shower blocks, and direct beach access. In the mountains, campsites around Scanno and Rocca di Mezzo cater to both campervan and motorhome travellers with electric hook-ups, waste disposal points, and access to hiking trails. Abruzzo's main motorway is the A14 Adriatica, running along the coast, with the A24 and A25 connecting to Rome through the Apennine mountains. Tolls apply on all three and can be paid by cash, card, or Telepass device at toll booths. Motorhomes over 3.5 tonnes are classified differently and pay higher toll rates. Speed limits for motorhomes under 3.5 tonnes are 130 km/h on motorways and 110 km/h on dual carriageways, dropping to 100 km/h and 80 km/h respectively for heavier vehicles. Mountain sections on the A24 and A25 include long tunnels and steep gradients, so check your vehicle height before setting off.

We visited Mallorca for four days, and it was the best decision to discover the island with this camper van. The van was really well equipped and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay at beautiful spots — including a portable chemical toilet, a water tank with a camping shower to wash off the sand after the beach, a camping stove, and plastic cutlery. Communication with Álvaro was great throughout our stay. He really went the extra mile to make sure we had a nice trip and even provided us with extra towels and goggles for the beach. The only thing to keep in mind is that it’s an older car. This gave the trip exactly the charm we were looking for, but the odometer and fuel gauge did have some issues from time to time. Thank you so much, Álvaro! Whenever we come back to Palma, we will definitely rent your van again. 😊
