What requirements are asked of the renters for them to rent my RV?
We automatically check your proof of insurance before publishing your ad. If your personal motor insurance can cover rentals (self drive hire), you can choose to use it for your rentals.
Otherwise, Yescapa offers a fully comprehensive insurance for each rental. Please check the conditions below, as which insurance is applied- will depend on where your vehicle is registered. Depending on this, the renters must:
| UK | To be between 25 and 69 years of age
To have a full driver's licence for more than 2 years.
For all UK driving licences, a full DVLA check is required. |
| Switzerland | To be over the age of 23,
To have a full driver's licence for more than 3 years. |
| France | To be over the age of 25
To have a type B driver's licence for at least 3 years. |
| Spain | To be over the age of 24
To have a type B driver's licence for at least 2 years. |
| Germany | To be over the age of 23
To have a type B driver's licence for at least 3 years. |
| Italy | To be between 23 and 75 years of age
1 year on a full driver's licence. |
| Portugal | To be over the age of 25,
To have a full driver's licence for more than 3 years. |
| Belgium | To be over the age of 25,
To have a full driver's licence for more than 3 years. |
The countries the renter plans on visiting during the rental must appear on the list of countries covered by the insurance (please check the
applicable insurance policy or your own). Please make sure to also ask the owner if they allow you to visit those countries.
