RV and Camper rental insurance


Each rental done with a vehicle registered in Germany, is covered either by Allianz Germany provided by Yescapa, or by the insurance provided by the owner (professional owner or owner with their own insurance policy).

The Allianz insurance supplied by Yescapa, is included in the final price of the booking (rental cost, service fees and insurance).

  • A comprehensive coverage for all rented vehicles departing from Germany
  • Full coverage in case of damage whether you are responsible or not, theft, fire, glass breakage and complete 24/7 assistance in case of breakdown or an accident.


The insurance policies offered for stress-free holidays:

  • Civil liability to third parties and passengers in the RV up to 15 million Euros per injured peson, and 100 million Euros for material damage
  • Damage to the vehicle
  • Theft and breach of confidence
  • Storms, hail, lightning
  • Glass breakage and other glass damage
  • Harm to game
  • Damaged caused by Marten
  • Fire and explosion
  • Damage caused by short circuits
  • Damage or loss while using a boat/ferry
  • On-site repair charges (to th sum of €100)
  • Towing charges (at the cost of €200)
  • Supplimentary services in case of an accident or breakdown starting from 50km from where the vehicle is normally based (vehicle return charges, hotel stays, etc.)
  • Customs duty


The default excess is €1500. It can be reduced to €250 during the booking process.

In the event that our conditions are not respected, the insurance excess will be €3,000 per incident.

An insurance excess applies, according to the following principle "one accident = one excess to pay" only when the driver is responsible for an accident or if an accident occurs without an identified third party.


  • Must be over 23
  • Have a valid driving licence for more than three years*

If the driver of the vehicle does not comply with one or more of these conditions, the insurance excess will be €3,000.

In Germany, driving licences from all countries are considered as valid. However, for certain countries, you will need to travel with a translation of your driving licence in order to be covered by our partner. The list of licences which do not need a translation: France, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Malta, Switzerland, Andorra, Germany, Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg, Austria, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Denmark, Finland, Sweden, Norway, UK, Ireland, Poland, Slovenia, Croatia, Greece, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania, Hungary, Bulgaria, Monaco, San Marino, Cyprus, Lichtenstein, Hong Kong, New Zealand, Senegal

This covers damage in the event of an accident, i.e. resulting from an accidental, sudden and unforeseen incident that occurred during the rental of a vehicle rented through Yescapa and whose repair costs exceed the amount of the insurance excess subscribed. Certain vehicle components are excluded from insurance coverage:

  • White or brown electrical appliances which are removable
  • Vehicles and equipment transported in the trunk, on roof racks or motorcycle racks
  • Damage to tires due to piercing, braking or punctures
  • Accessories or elements, whether or not they are brand originals, which are not attached
  • Household utensils such as crockery, glasses, cutlery and similar articles, small electrical household appliances, chairs, tables and similar articles, as well as other upholstery items from the inside of the vehicle
  • Personal objects taken from the vehicle following a burglary, whether they belong to the renter or the owner
  • Theft(s) by a person in close contact with the driver (employee, family member)
  • Loss of or damage to the trailer and its contents
  • The loss of or damage to any vehicles (mechanically damaged) towed by the insured vehicle
  • The loss, damage or theft of objects belonging to the Owner
  • Glass breakage on elements through which light does no travel
  • Damage to the vehicle whose only cause is overloading or wear and tear.

Allianz Terms & Conditions

Allianz AG can insure vehicles that weigh up to 7.5 tons. However, the breakdown assistance only covers vehicles that weigh up to 3.5 tons. Please don't hesitate to contact the Yescapa team if you have any questions.

Only vehicles that have liability insurance can be covered by Allianz Germany AG. Please get in touch with your insurance to check if your civil liability is still valid even while renting out your vehicle. If this is not the case, please contact the Yescapa team.

What should you do in case of a breakdown or accident?

Interior, contents and baggage insurance

Under the group insurance contract with ERGO Reiseversicherung AG, you are automatically covered for the following benefits:

Baggage and contents insurance:

Loss of baggage, e.g. due to theft, elementary events.

  • Sum insured: €6000 per trip
  • Excess: €150 per incident


  • Market price
  • Cost of repair
  • Material value (photos, image/sound/data carriers)
  • Replacement costs (official identity documents)

Liability insurance for the interior of the vehicle:

Cover for material damage (substantiated claims) inside the rented vehicle.

  • Sum insured: €2500 per trip
  • Excess: €150 per incident

Coverage for a maximum of 93 rental days per booking.
