Ricardo's Camper

The trip was great and everything went well with the camper. Clearly this is an older vehicle, but with a little care and common sense everything works well, including the amenities on board! Ricardo was very helpful and attentive. Although we did everything at the last minute, it all went smoothly and it was a good experience. Highly recommend!

PS1: when the gas gauge is at 1/4, stop immediately for gas....

È stata una bella ma impegnativa esperienza, il mezzo è un po' datato ma con qualche piccola miglioria si sarebbe potuto rendere il van più funzionale e adatto alle situazioni di campeggio. 

L'equipaggiamento elettrico lascia un po' a desiderare, le spine della corrente non funzionavano e mancava la prolunga per il collegamento esterno ma in qualche modo ce la siamo comunque cavata. 

Nel complesso il mezzo è molto caratteristico e ci ha consentito di visitare in tutta libertà l'Algarve, zona meravigliosa del Portogallo.

The trip was amazing. The van is very old, I would say vintage! You need a couple of days to get used to the driving style, but once you get in the mood it will bring you anywhere.

If you are looking for advneturous trip this is the van for you!

Booking and pre-pickup communication was easy and smooth, Ricardo has been available and quick in replying.
At pickup, we were shown the full veichle in detail and also went for a test drive to make sure we were confident with the vintage driving vibe ehhe. we also received few tips and suggestions of palces to visit. During the rental period, Ricardo was available for any questions, and returning the van was also very easy.

my fave part:

• the owner is engaged and availabe
• the van can be parked easily, anywhere
• it has all the equipment need
• the vintage van gives a slow-peaced vibe

a negative side: 

• the old engine makes a strong white smoke when you're parked for a while. we worried about it untill Ricardo explained it's unfortunately normal. so we were a little conscious of not parking too close to tents or people eating when possible
• the side-way bed is a little short for people from 180cm height

We had an absolutely AMAZING trip, and loved van life! But I do want to share some honest feedback about this van. The inside is unfortunately in need of some TLC. A lot of the cabinets are falling apart, which made us feel like things could break any second. Since it is an old van, you cannot go very fast (which we knew and did not mind), but there were a few hills we encountered that I was a bit nervous about. So if this is your first ever van trip, I would maybe consider a newer model. The outside of this baby is definitely BEAUTIFUL though. We got a ton of compliments everywhere we went! Ricardo was very responsive though, and when we ran into an issue (a light came on and was beeping) he told us exactly what we needed to do to fix it. 

Ricardo was very kind and available to answer any question.

A carrinha está linda . Por onde passamos sempre recebemos elogios sobre o estado do carro . Passámos vários dias agradáveis junto com minha esposa e meu filho de 4 anos . Muito confortável ! 

O contato com o Ricardo sempre foi rápido e muito acessível . Muito profissional e organizado junto com sua equipa. Certamente iremos alugar novamente. 

Super Van, nous avons voyagé pendant 7 jours avec le van de Ricardo. Nous étions deux avec un bébé de dix mois au mois de janvier et ça s'est bien passé. très fonctionnel. tout le matériel pour cuisiner. La surelevation du toit est très pratique surtout en hiver pour se tenir debout.  Ricardo est très disponible pour répondre aux questions.

I had a such great time in Portugal with my friend, Ricardo the owner of the campervan was really helpful and gave us a lot tips regarding the south coast of Portugal, i will definitely going back to Portugal, i would like to explore the north of Portugal. the app was really helpful. Ricardo is a really awesome host! He is always available to answer to any question about the van! It was a great experience! 

That was our first rental experience and it was very smooth and enjoyable. Car had few minor issues, but much more on positive side. That was the most beautiful car on every parking we’ve been. It has everything you need inside.

Ricardo was very nice and relaxed and explained the whole van very thoroughly before we drove off to the south coast. The van was everything we expected and more, we had no troubles at all. The bed is spacious and the kitchenette allows for cooking even when its windy. Really great van!

Ricardo was great and the rental went really smooth. He compiled an extremely helpful document with great tips for our trip down the Alentejo coast. The car was in perfect condition and had everything we needed to make the trip unforgettable. I highly recommend Ricardo and the van, it was a really wonderful experience.
