Maria João's Converted van

Alvaro and Maria's van is amazing, we really do suggest it! They made a great job transforming it in a living and comfortable space and we had a wonderful time exploring Portugal from northern Douro with its amazing vineyards and great views until the southern region of Portugal, Algarve, and then back to Porto through Lisbon. It was our first time travelling in a van and the 2 hours brief Alvaro gave to us was very clear and absolutely necessary to live our van holiday throught Portugal in total freedom (which is what we loved the most of travelling by van) and security. Also, Alvaro and Maria were very helpful during our trip giving us suggestions and promptly responding whenever we asked for help or suggestions! We strongly recommend to travel with "La Furgoneta" (which is how the call the van)!

Owners are very nice and very helpful. Leave enough time and energy for when you go pick up the van as it takes a bit of time. 

The van is very comfortable. Simple but you find everything you need for the journey. Comfortable bed, enough space to cook, and we had everything we needed for our trip. The only problem if it's too hot there is no a/c but other than that everything is perfect. 

Aso when coming to buy insurance from yescapa read well that it only covers accidents and not wear and tear. 

We had a lovely trip. 
The vans owners were reachable throughout the trip and extremely helpful when we approached them with questions.

The van is in a very good condition and offers everything you might need. 
We truly enjoyed exploring the North of Portugal and sleeping at the most beautiful locations. 

We had a wonderful holidays with this converted van!
If you are looking for confort and discretion / small truck, this is the guy you need!
Cold and hot water enough for 3 days, shower inside and outside for when you come back from the beach full of sand, chemical toilets, big confortable bed, teinted glass to see without being seen, a solar panel and batteries to have light at night and charge your devices, kitchen with everything you need, refrigeration arc for beers and breakfast, a table, you can stand up inside, it's spacious.
Easy to drive (be careful it's high and maybe not too small mountains roads) and doesn't look like a camper van so easy to go everywhere without trouble (always check the legislation before).
Perfect for 2 people but there are space for 3 (I would say a couple and a small child because there is only one big bed).
We drove along all the north Portuguese and Spanish coast, using Caramaps (premium account with a PC offered by Yescapa) to find a place to stay for the night and never had any issue. The north of Portugal is stunning and there are so many amazing places to go!

The owner are very nice and always available for advice and information, don't hesitate! 

Un grand merci à Maria et Alvaro pour leur gentillesse, leur disponibilité et leur sens de l'accueil ! Sous leurs conseils, nous avons voyagé sur la côte au sud de Porto et c'était sublime ! Nous avons passé d'excellents moments dont on se souviendra ! La  Furgoneta est très propre, très facile à conduire et très fonctionnelle, même au delà de nos attentes! Alvaro a pris le temps de nous expliquer son fonctionnement, ce qui nous a permis d'en profiter pleinement ! Nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir parcourir les routes portugaises avec la Furgoneta ! A tous ceux qui lisent ce commentaire, vous pouvez y aller les yeux fermés. Maria et Alvaro sont de véritables personnes de confiance et la Furgoneta : un bijou ! :)

Os proprietários são muito acessíveis e a carrinha é simples e funcional.

Na entrega, os proprietários detalham muito bem o funcionamento de todos os equipamentos e as especificidades da carrinha (que ainda são algumas). Também nos deram dicas de viagem e de onde pernoitar, o que, como amadores nesta área, valorizamos imenso. Na devolução, foram justos em relação à caução (sem estragos). No geral, foram bastante atenciosos.

Sobre o veículo, nota-se que foi construído por pessoas com experiência no assunto. Tem todas as características necessárias para ser auto-sustentável durante uns dias, graças aos painéis solares e tanques razoavelmente grandes. Nós fizemos um misto de pernoita ao relento e num parque de campismo, a carrinha é adequada a ambos. Conduz-se bem.
