Velten's Camper

Hello, our camper offers everything two people need for traveling. We have spent over a year living full-time in it. Everything is self-built and has its own unique charm. The van doesn't feel like a typical motorhome but offers a cozy, rustic atmosphere.

Bed: The bed is very large for a camper, measuring 2m × 1.60m. Tall people will have no issues here. It features a cold foam mattress with a slatted frame underneath. When folded up, the bed transforms into a comfortable couch with a backrest. There is a reading lamp with USB ports on each side. Two small windows near the head area provide excellent ventilation, and there is a skylight with a fan directly above the bed.

Dining Area: At the end of the bed, you'll find the dining table and two chairs where you can sit comfortably. The table and chairs are only accessible when the bed is in the couch position. The chairs also offer additional storage space.

Storage Space: Under the bed, there is a large cargo area with a pull-out tray and storage boxes, providing ample space for luggage.

Electricity: The 140AH battery makes living off-grid easy. In good weather, you can be self-sufficient indefinitely, thanks to 200W of solar panels on the roof. If you park in the shade, there are additional 200W foldable panels with a 6m cable. The camper features several USB outlets and 230V sockets (inverter max. 300W). A 30m shore power cable is available, and the battery also charges while driving via the alternator.

Heating: An Autoterm 2D diesel heater is installed, which quickly heats the camper and easily maintains the temperature even in freezing conditions. All walls and windows (including the driver’s cabin) are insulated, providing protection from both cold and heat.

Kitchen: The kitchen has a standard household sink with a drainer. The faucet works just like at home — no extra button needed for the water pump. There is also an outdoor shower controlled through the same faucet. The compressor fridge holds 70L and has a small freezer compartment. The fresh and grey water tanks are located within the kitchen unit. There is a pass-through to the front of the vehicle, and the worktop can be easily folded down. The stove is a Dometic gas stove with three burners. Below it, there are two drawers for cutlery and a cupboard for supplies. The backsplash behind the kitchen features real tiles. The kitchen is fully equipped with cutlery, wooden spoons, a dinnerware set, a pot, and a pan.

Exterior: On the sliding door side, there is a 350cm awning, which provides shade on sunny days and keeps the area dry when it rains. At the rear, there is a bike rack for two bicycles. Optionally, an aluminum box can be mounted for extra storage if desired.

Equipment: In the cargo area, you’ll find a dining table for four people with adjustable legs and a small side table, perfect for coffee or snacks. There are also two Frontrunner Expander chairs and an Outwell outdoor couch, providing seating for up to four people in total. For campfires, a small axe is included, and for maximum relaxation, there’s a hammock. Two leveling ramps allow you to park evenly even on uneven ground.

Base Vehicle: The Ford Transit is very easy to drive and offers a good turning radius for a van. It fits into standard car parking spaces. Both seats are fully adjustable and very comfortable. A new JBL sound system has been installed in the driver's cab, along with an AUX interface and cable compatible with all phone types. Thanks to the 125HP engine and turbo, climbing mountain passes and overtaking on country roads is no problem. The vehicle is equipped with Nexen all-season tires with extra tread.

Toilet: If you would like to use the dry toilet (Boxio separating toilet), we charge a one-time cleaning fee of €10.

Bedding and Towels: If you would like to use our bedding and towels, we charge €10 per person for fresh, clean linens and two towels.

Important: All water and toilet tanks are handed over empty and clean at the beginning of the rental period and must be returned empty and clean as well.
