Welcome to Sicily, Elvis is waiting for you, together you’ll discover this awesome Island!

The van is located in Pachino

You can get to the van location by bus from the Catania airport to Pachino, near Marzamemi or use our transfer service, at the cost of 80€ one way or 150€ round trip.

Once you’ll get on board we’ll compile a form to assess the status (intern and extern) of the van and its appliances/tools, the form will be used again during your check-out.

PS: it is mandatory to bring copy of your driving licence and IDs.

INSTRUCTIONS

Elvis has all the comfort you will need: smart radio, electric windows, airco, solar panel, sink, fridge, camp stove, external shower, chemical toilet, chairs, Bluetooth speakers, binoculars, flashlight, mirror, table (turning into bed with one simple movement), blankets and sheets, pillows, dishes, glasses, cookware, moka coffee maker, cleaning tools, fire extinguisher, first aid, tools and all you need to live the van life.

The van must be returned with the same fuel level it had upon departure (DIESEL ENGINE) with all objects and equipment intact and in their place and must be returned clean both inside and outside.

Please report any damage or damaged/lost equipment.

PS: remember that while driving it is FORBIDDEN to stay in the back of the van.

ELECTRIC PLUGS

You can recharge phones and other appliances, by using the USB chargers directly from the solar panel control center or by using the 220V plugs.

My recommendation is to use the 220V plugs only to quick charge or use/charge your laptop and preferably during the daylight hours.

In order to use the 220V you have to turn on the inverter, located under the passenger seat, by holding for 3sec a button on its side.

The energy consumption is very high therefore I advise to use it only during the most bright daylight hours.

In order to extend the van’s battery life, remember to turn off the inverter when the 220V is not in use or not required, because the inverter energy consumption is high even when there is nothing plugged in.

Take you your power banks with you because they could be useful regardless.

FRIDGE

My advice is to set the fridge temperature at 11°C in order to avoid an excessive energy consumption, the food will be fresh anyway.

In order to change the temperature click on the button with a lock sign and use +/- to set the temperature you want.

It is better not to keep inside (and in general inside the van) glass containers, since they can breakand/or damaging the fridge or the van itself

LIGHTS

In order to extend as much as possible the secondary battery life, remember to use the vans lights only when strictly required, use the chain of lights instead which has its own batteries (especially during the cloudy days).

SINK AND SHOWER

Under the sink you can find the clean and dirty water tanks, they have a nominal capacity of 30lts each, if used carefully without wasting water, they can last for 2/3 days.

Remember to shut completely the tap (by lowering it), in order avoid useless energy consumption due to the water pump running while the sink is not being used.

The shower has the same autonomy if used carefully, I recommend to bring your own towels or a poncho is even better since it will protect you from the wind.

CAMP STOVE

Camp stove usage it’s easy, you just need to connect the gas cartridge following the arrow on the gas cartridge itself, matching the small spring which is located in the stove’s gas cartridge compartment and locking it up by lowering the lever on the frontal part of the stove.

In order to light the stove, hold aflame (lighter) near the gas valve and turn it open.

It advisable to keep the stove into a flat surface, possibly near the rear doors, leaving side windows and porthole open (if is not too windy).

When you’re done cooking, remember to turn off the gas valve and to detach the gas tank byreleasing the lever on the frontal part of the stove.

MEMORIES :)

In the glove box you can find a notebook, if you want you can leave some of your thoughts/memories at the end of your trip, it would be nice to collect all of your feelings, memories and what this experience gave you. I will then make some pics and post them on Elvis IG profile (@fuertevantour).
