Based in the Quirós / Teverga area, with quiet routes, swim spots and viewpoints already mapped out, it’s designed to feel straightforward from the outset — even if it’s your first time doing something like this.

Everything you need to settle in and explore properly, without needing to go far.

The Feeling

You won’t travel far or fast. The Snoozuki naturally sets a steady pace, encouraging you to notice more — the landscape, the light, the small details you’d usually miss.

Days tend to unfold simply: a swim in a river, a slow lunch, a short walk from a high starting point.

Mornings arrive quietly — mist below, clear air above, and nowhere you need to be.

By evening, everything slows again — cooking outside, a drink in hand, and the last light moving across the mountains.

It’s a simple rhythm, and one people settle into quickly.

The Experience

This is a local, self-contained adventure designed for staying in one area and exploring it in more depth.

You’ll be based in the Quirós / Teverga area, on the edge of the Peña Ubiña Natural Park — a quieter, less-travelled part of Asturias that still feels largely undiscovered, yet within easy reach of Oviedo and the coast.

Rather than covering long distances, the idea is to settle into the area and experience it properly, at the pace the vehicle naturally encourages.

A selection of gentle tracks, viewpoints, swimming spots and places to stop are already mapped out, along with nearby villages, bars and small shops for resupply.

There’s more than enough to explore without needing to plan heavily or travel far.

Your Base

At the centre of it all is the Snoozuki — a small, characterful 4x4.

Around 40 years old and recently fitted with a new engine and seats, it’s mechanically sound, carefully maintained, and intentionally simple. No unnecessary systems — just a direct and engaging way to travel.

Driving it is part of the experience. It’s steady, capable and confidence-inspiring on the tracks you’ll be using, and rewards a calm, unhurried approach.

Living Setup

The setup follows the same philosophy: simple, functional, and easy to use.

• Sleeping: cosy and comfortable for two (fresh bedding provided)

• Cooking: portable kitchen box with stove and basic utensils

• Cooling: 12V cool box for food and drinks

• Water: basic bottled supply for cooking and washing

This is a low-impact, back-to-basics setup.

There’s no built-in toilet or shower — guests use a simple leave-no-trace approach and natural washing (rivers or a basic water setup).

It’s not luxury, but it’s straightforward, practical, and surprisingly freeing.

Who This Suits

This works best if you:

• are comfortable going at a slower pace

• don’t need a fixed plan

It’s ideal for couples looking to spend time in nature without a strict itinerary — the kind of trip where you’re happy figuring things out as you go.
