Our fully equipped off-grid VW Crafter – freedom on four wheels
Our VW Crafter is our little home on wheels – spacious, comfortable and designed specifically for independent, off-grid travel. We use it for our own adventures and are happy to share it with people who enjoy travelling independently and will treat it with the same care we do.

At around 7 metres long, the Crafter offers plenty of space for two people. There are two comfortable longitudinal beds (190 × 75 cm and 200 × 75 cm), which can be combined with an additional centre mattress to create a large sleeping area approximately 170 cm wide.

For off-grid stays, the camper is equipped with a 100-litre fresh-water tank, 75-litre grey-water tank, ALB drinking-water filtration system, outdoor shower and a full indoor shower. The water- and chemical-free Clesana C1 toilet makes longer stays away from campsites particularly comfortable.

The electrical system is designed for genuine independence: a large 410 Ah lithium battery, 360 Wp solar system and comprehensive Victron setup provide plenty of energy. A 3,000 W inverter supplies 230 V when needed. Cooking is electric on an induction hob, and there is a large compressor refrigerator with freezer compartment.

For colder days, the Crafter has an Autoterm diesel heater and hot water. In warmer weather, the Maxxfan roof fan provides excellent ventilation. A large Fiamma awning creates additional living space outside.

Despite its size, the Crafter is very comfortable to drive. 177 hp, 8-speed automatic transmission, adaptive cruise control, reversing camera, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto and comfortable suspension seats make longer journeys relaxed and enjoyable.

Please note: our Crafter has a maximum authorised mass of 4.2 tonnes. An appropriate driving licence is therefore required, and special toll regulations may apply in some countries.

This is not simply a rental vehicle – it is our personally equipped and much-loved camper. We therefore look for guests who will treat it carefully and respectfully. Before departure, we provide a thorough introduction to the vehicle and all of its equipment, so you can start your journey feeling confident and well prepared.
