I've received a fine and the dates correspond to the hire, who should pay?

If a ticket was issued:

It is up to the renter, (the driver), to pay the fine. You have a certain number of days to contest the fine, please check the document itself for further information.

You can contest a ticket in two ways:

  • Contact the organism who issued the fine and let them guide you through the process.
  • Send the form attached to the fine to contest,  or follow the instruction on the fine to contest it.

You will have to indicate the renter's driver's license number, don't hesitate to ask us for this information. This will allow you to prove that you were not driving the vehicle at the time of the rental by attaching a copy of the rental agreement.

In the event that the offence has been committed abroad, the fine may be sent in the language of the country of registration of the vehicle. Feel free to let us know if you need help.

If a fine was issued linked to unpaid Tolls:

If you receive additional costs (toll charges, eco tax, etc...), before the rental ends, please send a copy to the renter, and request this amount to be taken out of the securty deposit when the vehicle returns.

If these costs are received after the vehicle is returned, please contact the renter directly for payment.

If necessary, you can also send us a copy by e-mail to the following address: contact@yescapa.com

We will then contact the renter to pay these fees via a direct debit.
