Claire's Converted van

Notre séjour avec la fourgonnette de Claire a été formidable. Celle-ci est confortable et équipée de tout ce que vous aurez de besoin pour un séjour de camping en algarve. La fourgonnette roule très bien, ça parrait qu'elle est bien entretenue. De plus, Claire a été très collaborante lors des échanges du véhicule. Bref, nous avons adoré et recommandons cette option de voyage !

Die Vermietung lief perfekt. Der Camper hatte alles was man braucht und ließ sich sehr leicht handeln. Wir hatten eine perfekte Zeit und auch ohne große Camping vorerfahrung keine Probleme. Claire und ihr Mann waren sehr hilfsbereit immer erreichbar und haben uns das die Vermietung sehr leicht gemacht. Wir würden den Camper jederzeit wieder buchen und empfehlen jedem, das Abenteuer anzugehen.

Me and my best friends rented the Van for 10 days and we loved it. There’s everything you need in the Van and it’s super comfortable and easy to drive. 

Claire has been very nice and the communication was very good. She and her husband met us directly at Faro airport and gave us a detailed introduction of how the Van works. If you have any questions during your stay in their Van you can contact them which is very helpful.

We will definitely book this Van again :)

If you are looking for have your best Camper Van experience and renting the Camper Van from the nicest people, we can’t recommend Claire and her husband enough. We had the best experience renting a camper van from Claire. They are the most amazing people, so helpful, flexible and professional. They cared so much about us having a good experience and time renting the van. They where very helpful when we needed them, only a call away and very flexible about where to pick up and drop off the van and so helpful and understanding when we had a delay with giving the van back. Everything is so functional and new in the van and are working perfect. Everything you need for having a good trip is there, outside chairs, outside table, blankets, pillows, kitchen supplements and so on. There is a fridge, we cooked on the gas stove, and you are able to charge your phone at anytime. The car is very comfortable and very nice to drive. We didn’t have any problems with anything. We had the best trip, the best experience renting the van with Claire,  they are the most amazing and nice people you can find to book your next big camper van experience with. We can’t recommend them enough and wish them all the best!! We are looking forward to rent from then again in the future.

Brilliant experience from start to finish! Claire and Lee was so good at showing all features of the van and was super flexible with pick up and drop off. The van is so easy to drive and with the skyline roof is very spacious to sleep and you can camp literally anywhere . It is built very profesionally by Lee himself and everything is thought through impeccably so that our holiday would be as compfortable as possible.  We are already planning our next trip with this van very soon.

Claire was super helpful . Interior was really comfortable and the van itself drives perfectly. 

We loved our travels in Claire’s campervan. Communication was prompt and clear before meeting, and at the handover Claire and her husband patiently demonstrated all aspects of the van from the pop top to the rock & roll bed, to the appliances and site electrical hook up. All of these things were then simple to use and operate, great! The van was spotlessly clean,bedding and towels (which were included at no extra charge) were fresh and more than adequate. Everything had been thought of by way of camping chairs and table, cutlery and crockery, cleaning bits, even the all important bottle opener! The gas hob and fridge were used every morning, although we did eat out lots as Portugal food and drink is too good! A big plus of this van is that for first time van lifers like us, it was like driving an car - it conveniently parks in parking spaces at supermarkets, campsites, etc as if you are driving your every day vehicle. This means we were confident to explore further afield and so we took advantage of the unlimited kilometres package that was free with our booking! Wherever we parked up, the van proved to be eye catching with the pop top up for additional height, and is very instagramable, a really good looking bus! All in all we highly recommend- from start to finish Claire made this a simple process and was available to advise or recommend where needed. We shopped around before booking and this was very competitive pricing for a perfect getaway in a special van. Thanks Claire and see you again in October!

Claire und und ihr Mann haben uns sehr freundlich noch spät abends am Flughafen in Faro empfangen und uns eine detaillierte Einweisung zum Camper gegeben.  Wir konnten anschließend direkt starten und haben schon die erste Nacht im Van verbracht. 

Zum Bus: 
Wir waren zu zweit unterwegs und hatten ein Surfbrett dabei. 
Der Bus ist sehr gut durchdacht, wirklich praktisch und total gemütlich. 
Das Bett (Rock and Roll) lässt sich durch einfaches Ausziehen der Rückbank schnell einrichten. Es ist ideal für 2 Personen (2 m lang). Der Schrank bietet viel Stauraum, der nicht ausgeschöpft haben. Die Küche ist perfekt um morgens Kaffee vorzubereiten und Eier zu kochen. Ausfwändigere Speise lassen sich sicher auch kochen. (Das Essen in Portugal ist aber zu gut um nur selbst zu kochen :) )

Die vordere Sitzbank lässt sich mit wenigen Handgriffen umdrehen, so dass man gemütlich abends essen oder am Tisch spielen kann. 
Der Kühlschrank war ebenfalls top! Wasser ist auch vorhanden um zu spülen oder Tee vorzubereiten. Küchengeräte und Campinggeschirr waren natürlich auch da. 

Das Hubdach war super praktisch! Das Aufstellen und Abbauen dauert nur 1 Minute, wobei man sich die Handgriffe gut zeigen lassen sollte. Om Bett oben finden zwei weitere Personen Platz. 
Nachts war es angenehm kühl (April). Bei zu viel Wind haben wir einfach das Hubdach heruntergfahren, wodurch es deutlich wärmer wird. 

Die Boardbatterie hatte ausreichend Leistung um nachts alle mögliche Geräte zu laden und mehrere Tage autark zu stehen. Auf dem Campingplatz haben wir nur für eine Nacht Strom genommen um den Kühlschrank dauerhaft zu kühlen. 

Der Bus lässt sich fahren, wie ein normaler PKW. Einparken, enge Straßen waren nie ein Problem und man hat eine wirklich gute Übersicht. 

Zum Surfen ist der Bus auch optimal, da man immer einen Prakplatz in Strandnähe findet und sich im Wagren umziehen kann.

Als wir den Bus zurückgegeben haben, kamen die beiden zu einem vereinbarten Treffpunkt. Es lief alles problemlos. 

Verbauch deutlich unter 10 Liter: Für ca. 600 gefahrene km haben wir keine 50 Liter tanken müssen.

Die beiden sind super nett und waren für jede Hilfe erreichbar. 

Wir waren absoult zufrieden und würden den Camper jederzeit wieder mieten. 

Deshalb 5 Sterne!!!

Claire and her husband welcomed us very kindly late in the evening at Faro airport and gave us detailed instructions about the camper. We were then able to start straight away and spent the first night in the van.

 

To the bus:

There were two of us and we had a surfboard with us.

The bus is very well thought out, really practical and totally comfortable.

The bed (rock and roll) can be set up quickly by simply pulling out the back seat. It is ideal for 2 people (2 m long). The closet offers plenty of storage space that has not been exhausted. The kitchen is perfect for preparing morning coffee and boiling eggs. More elaborate dishes can certainly also be cooked. (But the food in Portugal is too good to just cook for yourself :) )

 

The front bench seat can be turned around in just a few simple steps, so that you can eat comfortably in the evening or play at the table.

The fridge was great too! Water is also available to do the dishes or to prepare tea. Kitchen utensils and camping crockery were of course also there.

 

The Pop up roof was super practical! Setting up and dismantling takes only 1 minute, and you should have the hand movements shown to you. Two more people can be accommodated in the bed above.

It was pleasantly cool at night (April). If there was too much wind, we simply lowered the lifting roof, which made it significantly warmer.

The board battery had enough power to charge all kinds of devices at night and to be self-sufficient for several days. At the campsite we only used electricity for one night to cool the fridge permanently.

The bus can be driven like a normal car. Parking, narrow streets were never a problem and you have a really good overview.

The bus is also ideal for surfing, as you can always find a parking space near the beach and you can change in the wagon. I storef the Board in the Bus and at night under the bus. It was also possible to place the surfboard vertically in the car, so we had enough space for sleep.

When we returned the bus, the two came to an agreed meeting point. Everything went smoothly.

Consumption well under 10 liters: We didn't have to fill up with 50 liters for about 600 km driven.

The two are super nice and were available for any help.

We were absolutely satisfied and would rent the camper again at any time.
