Luis's Converted van

Luis was amazing, explained everything about the van, and it was really clean and very well equipped, so we headed off on our adventure.

Being able to tour the island, park up anywhere and own the doors and just sit and enjoy the view with a cup of tea or a glass of wine is an experience everyone should try.

We even experienced a very rare, for the island, storm with full on thunder and lightening, which was an experience... although my sister managed to sleep through it!

I can't recommend hiring a camper van enough, and if you're going to do it go for the Cactus van from Luis x

the van was really comfortable and includes everything you need for daily vanlife. Luis was really friendly, open minded and cooperatively. He could tell us everything about the island und gave us recommendations for parking spots and nice places and he was always reachable when we had questions. We had a wonderful time and would recommend Luis' van to everyone who want to spend an unforgettable time and try vanlife! 

Luis the owner is a really nice and uncomplicated Person, he even put a couple of Beers in the fridge of the Van as Welcome gift. He also offers to pick you up at the Airport for a small amount of money. When you come for a Surftrip he can give you pretty good advice and can connect you with his Friend who`s a Surfteacher.

The Van itself is really cosy and got a lot of storage space, it is perfect for exploring the Island and takes you to almost to every place of Fuerteventura, but don`t drive through Sand !!! We did it and got Stuck but it wasn`t such a big Deal, we called Luis who helped us to organize assistance. After 1 1/2 h we were good to go again. The insurance of Yescapa paid for it.

So all in all i just can recommend to rent this Van especially for Exploring and/or a Surftrip.

Overall the rental experience was good. There were some problems with the van, the water and propane was nevder actually full as stated to me when I began my journey. This led to a problem with the water pump a couple of days later and a running out of the gas (propane) halfway into my journey; later there was also a water leak that required me to refill the fresh water much sooner than necessary. Luis was very helpful and available during this time and I want to make it clear that I would rent from him again because of his friendliness and willingness to help. I only wish that the van had been better inspected before my rental.

I had an amazing time in this crafter! Everything had been thought about and the bed was very comfortable - I’m 6”2 and was able to sleep well. Through my trip I was very well looked after and had plenty of recommendations of where to go and what to see. This was the perfect van for my trip to see my friends and I would book again when I’m next in Fuerteventura. This van also turned heads and I had loads of people interested in the conversation as it’s been done to a very high spec.
