Christian's vehicle

Wir hatten großen Spaß und ein unvergleichlich abenteuerliches Erlebnis mit dem Defender. Man kommt an Plätze, an die kein anderer "normaler" Camper kommt. Der Wagen ist zwar schon alt, aber das macht das ganze nur fast noch interessanter und passt einfach. Der Motor ist sehr kraftvoll trotz der "niedrigen" Leistung auf dem Papier. Hier gibt es keinerlei Probleme sämtliche Passagen zu bewältigen.

Insgesamt merkt man, dass Christian diesen Wagen auch selbst nutzt, denn es ist zwar alles sehr minimalistisch, doch es ist durchdacht und alles was man braucht ist da. Der Wassertank auf dem Dach ermöglicht sogar eine kleine Dusche zwischendurch (wenn auch eher kalt ;) ).

Hervorzuheben ist auch das Dachzelt, was sehr sehr gemütlich ist. Die Matratze ist top und auch das Bettzeug sehr gemütlich und hochwertig.

Zu guter Letzt bereichert Christian selbst das Erlebnis mit diesem Camper. Er stellt eine Liste (auf GoogleMaps) zur Verfügung, mit außergewöhnlichen Plätzen zum Schlafen sowie empfehlenswerte Restaurants und Cafés. Auch Off-Road-Routen stellt Christian zur Verfügung. Hier sollte man allerdings schon etwas Erfahrung in diesem Bereich haben.

Christian and Ruth are exceptional! They made sure we have the best-possible experience with the Defender and we did. They are caretaking, responsive and wonderful people. Thank you so much for all the effort you put in!

La experiencia de visitar la isla en este coche es espectacular. Recomiendo preparar un po o la ruta antes y buscar en internet que rutas offroad som abiertas y cuales no ya que nos encontramos una cerrada. Muy agradecido por las ubicaciones compartidas por los propuetarios. El coche tienes de todo para pasa uno dias: fogones, tabla, dos sillas, cama comoda, utensilios...

Tiene bastantes arñazos pero funciona perfectamente.

Trust me, guys- You will not fall in love with Tenerife from a hotel this much! If you are an adventurous type, who feels like seeing everything on this spectacular island, this 4WD overland hotel is a way to do it. Tenerife is very offroad friendly, with very easy trails going trough their national parks. Thanks to this, you can easily access basically every part of the island and hike from there. As soon as you get back to the car, it is ready for you to cook, relax and sleep in a matter of minutes. 

Car itself is perfect for the purpose- Robust, well equiped, super comfortable for sleeping. (190cm tall guy speaking here, still had a lot of room :-) 

If you fill chiller box with ice, and food you don't need to see civilisation for days. Black plastic water tank on the roof makes sure that water is okay for shower after just  few hours of sunshine. It's a classic, offroad legend, not a garage queen- But who cares if there are few scratches and highway drives are loud. It is super simple to drive even if you never offroaded before. If you love cars like I do, prepare to have a lot attention of conversations with strangers- People love it wherever you stop, ask a lot of questions, take pictures :D Nice bonus for me. 

Christian and Ruth (the owners) are super nice, provided us with lots of local tips and were able to help with whatever we needed. Thank you for enabling this experience, it was a honeymoon to remember!
