Hello!
This is Nellie, our beloved camper van. She is a 2010 Ford Transit 2L diesel van with about 141K miles on the clock and counting. She has been lovingly converted in Devon and we have had many adventures in her as we hope you will too. She is very easy to drive (dimensions are 2m wide, 5.7m long and 2.8m high) and relatively economical. Manual gears - 7 gears.
There is a double fixed bed (dimensions 152cm wide x 170cm long x 40cm headroom) above an enormous boot (H 134 cm x D 120 cm x W 134 cm) which can fit 4 bicycles with clever positioning (the picture shows it with our stuff in it which I will remove but gives you an idea of the size). The back seat folds down for another double bed (dimensions 117cm wide x 177cm long). Please bring your own bedding including flat sheets to cover the mattresses. There are no shower nor toilet facilities on board.
There is a fridge with an ice box, electric hook up, a solar panel, heating, double gas burner and cold water sink and a separate single camping gas unit, 4 USB charging points as well as four 3 pin plug outlets (which are usable with the electric hook up), electric hook up, loads of storage space in cupboards as well as over the cab. Comes with all the usual tableware and kitchenware. Large height adjustable camping table and 4 folding chairs. There is also a removeable table for inside the cabin if the weather is not great. Long reach electricity cable for hook ups. Fiamma awning which gives welcome shade from the sun. (Please see below for the full inventory and that will give you an idea of what to bring and what to leave at home).
I will be thoroughly cleaning and anti baccing Nellie before and after each hire - let's keep each other happy and safe. I will also talk you through everything you need to know and am happy to answer any questions you may have. On the day of departure I will run through all the controls etc.
As I work in a school Monday - Wednesday 0830 - 1600 I will be checking for any messages during my break times but the rest of the week I will be on hand should you have any queries.
Double locking for safety. Two openable sky lights with blinds and mosquito nets.
Four new Bridgestone tyres fitted February 2022
MOT passed May 2022
Front brakes replaced May 2022
Bon voyage and happy camping! Fatima

I thoroughly recommend hiring Nellie for a straightforward but unique experience. She has everything you'll need and everything was spotless, easy to find and well cared for.
We used Nellie for a family weekend (2 children and 2 adults) and we had plenty of room including storage and space for luggage / bikes. The van is really easy to drive and we had lots of compliments about it, sadly having to explain it wasn't ours!
Fatima provides so much that you barely need to take anything, there were chairs, a table, blanket, stove, washing up supplies, lighting etc. The fridge and stove were really useful, as was the awning which is great cover if the weather isn't so good.
We loved this rental and will definitely be coming back (if we don't buy our own in the future!).
We had a brilliant experience in Nellie for our trip with our 9 month old to North Wales. Very cosy in the bed and slept really well and lots of space in the back for our luggage. Fatima was the best host and couldn't be more helpful answering questions along the way and giving us a thorough check in and check out. The van itself was lovely to drive and felt super easy and no issues along the way. We can't wait to use her again for road trips in the future. Thanks to Fatima and Nellie x
We had a great time in Nellie. There was loads of space for our equipment in the boot, and both the upper sleeping area and the rock and roll bed were a good size. Although the vehicle is not new, it's been maintained in very good condition internally, and the upholstery and matresses are comfortable and clean, and the floor and surfaces without marks.
The bowls, cutlery and general equipment were great - including an additional camping stove to go on the camping table. The chairs were good quality camping chairs and everything felt solid.
Nellie was very easy to drive - despite the size, parking was pretty straightforward - and the reversing sensor worked properly. On the motorway, everything was comfortable and reasonably quiet cruising at 70mph.
Fatima was excellent at communicating and was very helpful where we needed to flex our arrangements slightly. Check out and check in was straightforward and methodical. We loved the little touches she put in Nellie before we left, and even gave me a lift to the centre of Crawley at the end of the hire.
Overall, we were very happy with hiring Nellie from Fatima. The extra space on top of a standard Transporter camper van was very handy indeed, and the bed was very comfortable. Next time we want to hire a camper, we will definitely check if Nellie is available first!
This couldn't have gone better! Everything was catered for, to the smallest detail. There's an excellent space at the back of the camper which I've never seen in another camper. It allows you to keep your bags and anything else away from the sleeping area which is something I will look for in future hires. Fatima was extremely helpful and we had a a comprehensive run down of all the fixtures and fittings. We didn't have an electrical hook up, however the leisure battery coped really well. Amazingly there's a solar panel which charges the battery also (as well as directly from the engine when it's running). you could definitely go off grid in Nellie! the beds were comfy and my daughter made a little den in the upper bed. The awning was also really good, it was huge, so you can extend your living space if you wanted, put up some lights and make a really nice area. Once we were settled, we turned the front seats round and made a real home from home. It's long wheel base van with a high top, however I had no issues driving it what so ever, it felt and drove like a slightly longer car, it didn't feel heavy or sluggish. I would thoroughly reommend this hire, just not when I want it.

Hello! My name is Fatima and I live in the south east of England. I have always travelled a lot and have been very lucky to have experienced lots of different cultures. I love food and always seek out local delicacies! Started camping when I was little with my mum and dad and now have Nellie to roam around in. Haven't been abroad for a while due to Covid, like everyone else, but there are so many beautiful places to explore on our island, aren't there?
The exact address will be communicated to you when the booking is confirmed.
