As the driver there are a few things we would like to let you know, since they’re not covered by the insurance:
As the driver you are responsible for all speed, parking, tolls, traffic and/or other fines that may occur during your trip there are tow kind of tolls in PT the ones you pay at the moment and the other ones the electronic ones called: SCUTS.
Driver is responsible for any damage caused to the vehicle that the insurance doesn’t cover; driver must return the van at Check-out in the same condition as collected at Check-in, including the cleaning and the amount of fuel, in this case (DISEL/Gasóleo).
Policy applied in case of missing fuel: 25€ for every third missing). Policy applied in case the Van is dirty : Standard 20€ for the inside plus 20€ for the outside. Depending on how dirty it can get to 150€.
Van pick-up and delivery: - You can pick the van up/off in Lisbon/Benfica where it's located , between 9am to 18pm without paying any extra fee, in case you need to check-in/out outside working hours you will have to pay 10€ extra fee (each).
Lateness of the renter in case of delay picking up or dropping off the Van : we charge an extra 5€ for every half an hour late; only charged half an hour later then we’ve agreed.
If the delay extends beyond the working hours considered by the owners, renter will be charged 10€ additionally.
No pick-up or deliveries outside Lisbon district.
The van is only available to drive around Portugal and not any other country, ever.
There are a few areas inside of Lisbon (CENTER only) that the van is not allowed because of the Van’s age.
All of this charged fees will be deducted from the safety deposit or can also be payed by transfer depending on what we agreed and wrote down on the contract.

Cancellation terms
In the event of a cancellation, the reimbursement terms vary depending on the date on which the booking was cancelled.
The booking is confirmed
If the cancellation is 30 days or more before departure, you will be reimbursed 70% of the rental cost (insurance and service fees excluded).
30 days before departure
If less than 30 days before departure, no reimbursement will be possible, the total amount of the transaction is due.

Flexible cancellation due to cases of force majeure
If you are unable to travel due to a force majeure, you can benefit from adapted cancellation conditions. They allow you to postpone your trip at no cost.
The owner's remuneration will be refunded within 10 days after your cancellation. You will be able to use the remaining balance on your next booking, for the vehicle of your choice.

Worst service ever!
Owner was very unprofessional and rude from the beginning.
The "fridge" which was on the Ad was not a fridge but a cool box and it was not working at all and the owner knew this but didn't care and said I should have bought some ice. Also the gas cooker was not working.
At the checkout I had to pay 15€ for late check in although it was said it's until 20h on the contract. Also the owner charged me 50€!! for the cleaning although we brought it back cleaned.
the vehicle itself was very cozy and easy to drive and low consumption.
would not recommend to rent from Lee 👎🏼

Locatários problemáticos, desagradáveis e de uma exigência sem igual. Avariaram o cabo de ligação do frigorífico e levaram os 3 dias do aluguer a reclamar o facto de terem que se deslocar para comprar gelo. Levaram a Van para a areia e ficaram atolados (soubemos mais tarde que partiram as cruzetas do veio de transmissão; problema só detectado quando o veículo atingia determinadas rotações - avaria que provocou despesas e contra-tempo. Para além de tudo isto, entregaram a Van sem procederem à limpeza quer interior quer exterior.
Não recomendo.

Perfect van! It was our home for 8 days and we loved it. Reliable, easy to drive for it's age and low fuel consumption. Lee was very nice, helpful and patient since we very a bit late on departure and early on return. We had all the informations we needed and tips where to clean the car etc. Thanks!
