What happens in case of cancellation?

Since June 19, 2018, a cancellation insurance policy is available for all new bookings.

The reimbursement terms, therefore, depend on the date on which the rental was requested.

The terms below refer to any cancellation made by you. All cancellations and refunds must be requested via your online profile ("My trips" >" Review my booking" >"Edit or Cancel").

In the event of a cancellation made by the owner or due to a breakdown of the vehicle, you can request a reimbursement of the rental amount excluding the cancellation insurance cost.


For any bookings paid for after June 19, 2018:

  • If you have opted for the cancellation insurance:

You can request, via your online profile, a full refund of the rental except for the amount paid for the cancellation insurance, any extensions added to the reservation after confirmation and deduction of the excess related to cancellation insurance.

Cancellation insurance applies if an unforeseeable event defined by the cancellation insurance terms occurs to one of the participants of the rental or to a family member (up to the 2nd degree), written proof required.

  • If you have not opted for the cancellation insurance:

In case of a cancellation 30 days or more before the rental of the vehicle:

- You will be reimbursed 70% of the service and insurance fees. If you have paid for your rental in one instalment, you will also be refunded 70% of the total remuneration of the owner.

- The owner will receive 30% of their total remuneration.

In case of a cancellation within 30 days of the day of departure:

- No refund is possible, the full amount of the transaction is due.

- The owner will receive 100% of their planned remuneration.
